Your First Appointment

At New Leaf Family Dental, when you walk in our front door for the first time you will sense that we are a warm and welcoming group. Like with any initial healthcare appointment, we will kindly ask you to complete our insurance, privacy, and health information forms. The information you provide us will allow us to streamline your dental experience and to answer the financial and dental questions you may have. We also recommend bringing along your dental insurance card, as well as a list of the current medications that you are taking.

Our initial visits usually last around an hour, and will include an oral cancer screening, dental charting, periodontal probing, photographic analysis, and oral hygiene instruction. We will also take digital dental radiographs of your teeth to assist us in optimizing your dental health. In most cases, our gentle hygienist will clean your teeth during your visit. At the conclusion, we will provide you with a detailed evaluation of your current dental condition and we will answer any questions you may have about our findings, suggestions, and recommendations.
